Are You Suffering for Your God?

If you have answered: Yes! and are waiting for applauses, wait no longer. Realize this: God doesn’t want, need or expect your suffering. No matter who is your God: Christ, Buddha, Krishna, Allah, or some angelic beings. None of them has “calculated” the amount of suffering that you must endure to secure salvation. Not surprisingly so; God is Love – unconditional and never ending. Those who feel that a dose of suffering is necessary to erase their sins are simply listening to their ego/self and following its “logic.” To cancel out your sins, that are nothing more than the results of your errors and ignorance, ask for the help of your Self, and be guided by its unconditional Love, and assisted by its unlimited power.

In Christianity, for example, some believers hold the views that the more they suffer, the more they drown in a pain, the more assured their place is in Heaven. They prefer worshipping the Christ of the crucifixion, rather then the Christ of the resurrection.
Ask yourself: “Why did Christ come on earth? What exemplifies His power over the forces of darkness?” The answers: He came to show us that His Love for the mankind triumphs over the death – the Resurrection proves it.
Christ didn’t die to teach us that we are a physical body, as some believers try to prove, through the way they live their faith. Seeing the Christ on the cross as a body, results in us coming out with the experiences of guilt, pain, suffering and sin. Is this how you believe? Christ’s message was that we are not limited!
It’s time to move from our confused ideas and interpretations, and begin to move towards a higher state of consciousness and a lovingness – the true message of the Christ of the Resurrection.

Time to give up our belief that sin, guilt, suffering and penance are of any spiritual benefit. No matter how huge the guilt or suffering, it will not bring you closer to being enlightened. In most cases, you will become quite the opposite. A selfish and horrible person, filled with self-pity.
If you look at the Map of Consciousness, by Dr David R Hawkins, you will realize that God is in the opposite direction. Your first objective should be to reach Courage at LOC 200, and then Neutrality at 250. That’s where you will become to experience God for what He is: Unlimited and Never-Ending Love.
