Your Sexuality from the Spiritual Perspective

The connection between your happiness and the way you perceive sexuality has long been established in the science of psychiatry.
Sigmund Freud and many before and after him tried to prove the influence that our animalistic mind has on our behavioral patterns, sexuality being  one of them.
From the true spirituality point of view though, where the mind’s influence is altogether negated, and femininity and masculinity are nonexistent, due to  the non-identification with the body, it becomes quite simple. Spirituality operates in the realms of power, and sexuality in the realms of energy – thus  there’s no direct relationship.
If you are truly spiritual – at the Level of Consciousness beginning at 500, where sexuality and sex evolve into an expression of love; then  progressing to the state of liberation or realization, beginning at 600, where you and your partner are one, your perception of what is known as “carnal  knowledge” and all that precedes and proceeds it, loses its importance.

Desires, being the dominant force in sexuality, have no place in advanced states of consciousness. And even if traces of them exist, they evolve from  the predominantly physical aspect, to the more subtle, lobe-based interconnectedness.
The whole phenomenon of closeness that sexuality is based upon, changes from the bodily level to the non-physical bliss, associated with the high states of consciousness.
Put simply, whilst the great majority of humans requires “squeezing” and “friction” for their sexual satisfaction, spiritually advanced beings, whilst usually free from a direct participation in sex, will attain AND maintain unmatched states of bliss and ecstasy just by living their reality. For those realized in the universal consciousness, there is no a iota of individuality; how then would they gain any pleasure whatsoever when interacting with a “member of the opposite sex?”

To those who sit on the fence thinking “Should I or shouldn’t I do ‘it’”, the words of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra “When one is confirmed in celibacy, spiritual vigor is gained” should serve as a timely advice. If true spirituality is your life’s purpose, then mingling with “others” carries the danger of getting enmeshed in energy-wasting sexual activities. For those who are yet to decide, this little known video: “David R Hawkins On Sexuality” will deliver timely advice and clear the horizon.

In the end, your strength of adherence to the highest spiritual truth that “You are not the body, you are not the mind” and your spiritual honesty will define your reality. In the end, “You are the master of your domain”… pun intended.
