Are you a slave of the time? These shackles you’re carrying are slowing you down in your quest to Realization.
Did you know that time is only an abstract concept, a construct of the mind, created by the consciousness?
Your original state – the Absolute, is a timeless state. For a sage, or a realized being, merging with the Absolute means living in the reality where the time is not; notwithstanding the remnants of consciousness that still define their earthly existence.
As for the rest of us, time and consciousness are our reality.
Said Nisargadatta Maharaj: “When you witness, only then there is time. Time and consciousness appear together. Without consciousness, there is no time, for consciousness is time.”

If you are able to deny time its importance, or if you are at least willing to question it, you’ll begin the process of uncovering the veil of illusion woven by the consciousness.
Realization means leaving consciousness behind, and ignoring its major determinants; time being one of them. Spiritual progress, paradoxically, is not time dependant. Years of spiritual practice for some, or an instant enlightenment for others, are all that is required to reach the original state.
By first questioning the importance of time and then taking it for what it really is, each and every step of the way, you’ll remove perhaps the heaviest chains of bondage that tie you to the unreal.

It is not only possible, it is easy and you can try it now.
In your daily routine, stop asking “What time is it?”
Instead, ask yourself “Do I need to know the time right now?”
Soon, you’ll find out that we tend to exacerbate the importance of time, severely restricting our freedom in the process. Yes, be punctual for your next appointment. No, don’t spend hours and days dwelling on how long before you get… (fill in the blanks) or, how long have you got left till…?
It is the turning of your watch’s hands that tightens that tightens the yoke around your neck… but only when you look at them and count the seconds.
