Your Trusted Spiritual Tools of Today!

To grow your spirituality, you need trusted spiritual tools. Like the gardeners tending to their gardens with various tools and implements, spiritual seekers go about their daily tasks of cultivating earnestness and weeding out falsehoods using whatever means they have. Now more than ever faced with distractions and errors, spiritual aspirant needs to preserve all determination and energy he or she has.

What are the spiritual tools that you can trust? The most common are books and printed publications, on the subject of spirituality. From thousands of years ago till now, mystics, spiritual masters and enlightened beings authored numerous books, as did their followers. Understandably, the risk of a spiritual error is much lesser for the text written by the enlightened being himself, rather than by one of theirs many disciples and adepts. Still, one has to be aware of the fact that to be enlightened doesn’t necessarily mean to be proficient in writing and teaching. After all, the realized persons’ “thinking” process happens mostly in the non-linear domain, with only a few succeeding in relaying their message to the linear domain, easier to understand by the rest of us. In some instances, the process of relaying is occasioned by an accomplished student making his understanding accessible to us all. One shinning example is where the teachings of Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj were explained by one of his students – Dr Stephen Wolinsky, in the series of videos.

This brings us to another important tool: spiritual videos. For many of us, it is simply more convenient to watch the message on TV or PC screen. This method is particularly effective in conveying shorter, easy to understand teachings. Although there are exceptions, like in the case of “I Am That I Am” video series on 4 DVDs, where there’s more than 11 hrs of lectures, archival footage and meditations. Having viewed it many times, I’d highly recommend each and every DVD to any serious spiritual seeker.
A simple online search will reveal thousands of spiritual videos, from places like You Tube, Viddler, Google Video, etc. Not surprisingly many of the videos available there are tainted by the spiritual error, or devoid of truth altogether. So, the question arises: “How to know which spiritual works are integrous, and which are not?”

In the past, there were no easy answers to this question. Those on a spiritual path had to rely entirely on their “hunch” and a bit of “luck” in order to avoid exposure to false and erroneous spiritual messages. Fortunately, in the last 50 or so years, a new and very important tool has been made available for the use of spiritual seekers. It is based on the kinesiological testing, and goes by the name of Level of Consciousness calibrations. Finally, the truth about anything can be known. Nothing can be hidden from the unsuspected and naive enquirer. Level of Consciousness calibration and its meaning were developed by Dr David R. Hawkins and made widely known through his book “Power vs. Force”. With the calibration technique’s ability to gauge and measure the integrity of every other tool, it’s little wonder that this is a “must have” in everybody’s toolbox. Make sure you learn how to use it, and the reality will ever be hidden from you!
