How To Love God Always!

Is you love of God constant?
Do you really feel like your heart overflowing with loving emotions, every fleeting moment, when you think of God?
If you are like most humans, that is not the case – how intense your love of God is, depends on… you mood. That’s right, how you feel in any given moment determines how you see, and love, God. With the exception of enlightened beings whose Self is at one with the Divinity, the rest of us keeps “things” in the balance. The more we receive from God, the more we love Him.

On a good day, when everything happens the way you wanted, when all your “dreams” come true, you look at the small picture of God in the corner of your office, with warmth and tenderness. You adore your God, and thank Him wholeheartedly for the good that you’ve just received. Yes, some of us will go even as far as crediting God as the solitary source – the “doer’ of all those fortunate events that brought so much joy to us.

On a bad day, when the head wind throws you off the course and nothing goes right – according to your plan, God is your first port of call. Not because you want to pray for better fortunes, and ask for His help; but, because you’re somewhat “disappointed” with God, questioning whether your faith has “paid off” and you want it to be known. Now, you look at the same picture with some sadness and disbelief – for the Almighty God chosen not to grant your wishes. In moments like these, your reaction reflects your Level of Consciousness. The higher it is, the easier it will be for you to “understand” that God’s unconditional love for you doesn’t secure fulfilment of all your wishes, desires and plans.

What does it tell you? The Omniscient God knows what is good for you; you don’t. Wouldn’t it be more “sensible” then, to accept that, and run your life the way God has mapped for you? By doing so, you’ll find yourself in a truly ideal position, when whatever the answer to your wishes, you will be content. When you win, you’ll say: “Great!” and when you lose, you’ll say: “That’s OK.” Happiness, content and peace in every moment of your life are the reward. How will you know you’re there? Whenever you look at the image of God on this little picture in your office, your heart will beam the joy of love; without limits.
