What Is Your Level of Consciousness?

This question is, or if not, should be very meaningful for every spiritual practitioner. Why? Because knowing your current Level of Consciousness (LOC) helps you better understand your actions and reactions to every day’s events in your life. And, being curious enough as all humans are, we want to know “how we compare to others” and also gauge our progress. Although it really isn’t necessary for you to know whether you’re at 435 or 490, knowing how you’re scoring in relation to the major levels: 200, 350, 400, 500, 540, 575, 600 and above can give you an extra “stability” in your spiritual pursuits. To keep things in perspective, an average person’s LOC rises on average about 5 points during the whole lifetime.

However, for those of us with unquenched desire to open our lives to God’s love and reflect it all we do, such a seemingly little progress is never satisfactory. From our Teachers and Masters we know the momentous potentials for changes that lay behind each of the major LOC levels, as we move on our way to Enlightenment. It’s been said, that once you’ve heard about Enlightenment, you’ll never be satisfied till you attain It. For indeed, this is the only way a human can realize a “superhuman” status of becoming the Self… and at one with God.

In practice, it’s of little value to ask others to calibrate your LOC frequently; even less for you to try to test yourself. Just by looking at the “Map of Consciousness” you’ll know, according to the vital signs, where you are. It is of far greater benefits for your spiritual growth, that you calibrate LOC of your teachers and gurus before following their way. The same goes for their teachings: writings, speeches, master classes, etc.
Yes, the Universe has no secrets from you, if you know how to ask. Therefore, keep asking as often as you must, in order to keep on the straight and narrow road to your ultimate goal: Enlightenment. After all, veering off the road can cost you many lifetimes…
